About us

The Black Belt Academy is more than just a training venue. It is a project driven by passion, dedication and a clear mission.

In April 2025, we took over a hall that had previously stood empty for over a year and a half. In just two months of voluntary work, we completely refurbished it. The old walls have been transformed into a modern training centre, which is now once again filled with life, energy and enthusiasm.

Behind the Black Belt Academy stands the Sultans e.V. club, founded in Berlin in 1997 and now the city’s largest taekwondo club with over 700 active members. For almost three decades, we have been combining sport with education, integration and social commitment, and have received numerous awards for our work.

With the Black Belt Academy, we are continuing this success story. More and more children, young people and adults are finding their way to us and are pushing themselves to new heights, both athletically and personally. We are creating a place where sport means more than just physical activity. Here, it’s about structure, social stability and personal development.

Whether it’s taekwondo, BJJ, MMA, kickboxing or fitness – there’s a place here for everyone who wants to discover their strengths, learn respect and become part of a growing community. We’re still in the early stages, but our potential is huge. Together, we want to continue to grow, both as athletes and as people.
